Virat Kohli is one of those cricketers who has got a strong and loyal fanbase across the globe. Wherever he goes, fans follow him. His larger than life personality pulls every cricket lover towards him. The brief sight of madness for Kohli was seen at the Vadodara airport on Wednesday (January 7th). As he walked out of the airport in a casual black t-shirt and sunglasses, a massive bunch of his fans rushed towards him.

The Indian players have started to arrive in the city for the first fixture of the three-match ODI series against New Zealand, starting from 11th January. The 37-year old star batter Kohli also arrived on Wednesday morning, and it became a frenzied moment when fans literally mobbed him. They were eager to get a glimpse of their favourite star. It became quite a task for security personnel. However, they did their best to get Kohli safely into his car. This incident clearly speaks that Virat is probably the most famous active cricketer.
Besides this, the former Indian captain is playing only the ODI format. This also has increased his exclusivity. Considering India playing a limited number of 50-over games, Kohli fans get desperate to see their star in action.

Virat Kohli in ODIs Against NZ
When it comes to ODIs, Virat stands the tallest among his contemporaries. The Run Machine Kohli maintains an impressive record against the Kiwis in 50-over format. In 33 games against the black caps, he has scored 1657 runs with an average of 55.23 which is testament to his consistency. This score also consists of six centuries and nine half centuries.

Before this, the modern-day master has been in impeccable form. Back to back centuries and a half century close to a ton against South Africa. Then, a century in his first Vijay Hazare Trophy game after 15 years, followed by an aggressive half century in the next game. ICT fans are excited to see the stalwart of ODI games in action from 11th January. The Indian team will face their long-term rivals in ICC events New Zealand. The opening match of the series is set in Vadodara.
Following the first game, both teams will land in Rajkot for the second match of the series. There are high chances that fans will rush again to see Virat Kohli at the airport. Probably, a frenzied situation like Vadodara might happen in Rajkot as well. Finally, the Holkar Stadium in Indore will host the closer match. Before this, Kohli missed his third Vijay Hazare match against Railways as he joins the Indian team for the Ind Vs. NZ ODI series.
