The Legacy of India’s Golden Trio
These three players have been jewel crown of the Indian cricket across format. Captain Cool MS Dhoni has won the maximum number of ICC trophies for India. On the other hand, Rohit Sharma became the second most successful skipper of the team. Similarly, Virat Kohli is known for his immortal contribution to the team in every clutch situation and leading the Indian test team to become the No. 1 test playing nation.

Although they hardly take part in international cricket, their fans wait throughout the year to see them play in the IPL. At the same time, experts are having a chat regarding who is going to be successful in this season. Former Indian opener and famous Hindi commentator Akash Chopra has suggested that Virat Kohli will surpass the other two legends in this season. He further said that Virat’s fitness is on another level when compared to Rohit and Dhoni. However, the other two are no less than anyone in the world when it comes to cricketing fitness and their performances.

Expectations and Form in the Current Season
It is important to note that the former skipper of Virat and Rohit plays cricket for two months only after his retirement from international cricket. On the other hand, Kohli and Rohit have shown shining form in their recent ODI appearances. While Sharma is known for his explosive game, Kohli is still conquering clutch moments like he used to do half a decade ago. He still looks fresh as a 20-year old kid. His running between the wicket and consistency shows why he is still considered the King of the white-ball cricket.

MS Dhoni is 44 now and probably appearing for his last season as CSK has brought Sanju Samson as his successor in the squad. Whereas, Kohli still looks dominating the game and leading his side from the front. Therefore, Chopra’s words look very much believable that Kohli might dominate this season. He has already shown his proactive approach in the last season. So, it won’t be a surprise if the run machine Kohli brings a storm of runs this season again.
Regardless of all speculations, it is going to be an interesting edition with some new talents being introduced and old ones sharing the dressing room with them.
